On April 8 and 9, Langhorne Rod and Gun Club, Inc. hosted an Appleseed program on the short range. This two day program, championed by Fred of Fred’s M14 Stocks, seeks to reawaken the American Spirit, celebrating the actions of common citizens on April 19, 1775, where the colonists took their first stand against tyrannical British forces seeking to disarm the provincial residents in Concord, Massachusetts.
The Appleseed program is coordinated through the Revolutionary War Veterans Association (RWVA) and is proceeding throughout the Country on a Nationwide Tour. The stop in Langhorne was a preliminary stop, to recruit instructors, for an anticipated second stop in September.
Thirty three participants heard of the commitment of the militiamen and minutemen at Lexington and Concord, reviewed the achievement of Washington’s force in Trenton against professional Hessian mercenaries, and remembered what the US Constitution and Bill of Rights are all about. They pledged to GET INVOLVED NOW, in the soft war, against oppression of our God given Rights, as enumerated in the Bill of Rights.
And they exercised the Second Amendment right, by learning to shoot accurately, to within four (4) minutes of angle (MOA) , reliably, for over 40 rounds per relay, at 25 meters and 200 yards, from any position. They are well on their way to becoming Riflemen. Marksmen and Patriots able to defend themselves for 500 yards or more, should the need ever arise.
A smaller, limited, version of the Appleseed curriculum has been conducted on weekends in May, and will continue as Riflemen Seeds on the first Saturday of each month through October, commencing at 12 Noon.
Any (non full auto) rifle, any sight system, any level of experience, welcome!
