Practical Rifle

LANGHORNE ROD & GUN CLUB PRACTICAL RIFLE

The last SATURDAY of every month, rain or shine, 1000-1500.
For directions, go to maps.google.com, and type in 215 Stoney Ford Rd., Northampton, pa  Or click here!
Practical Rifle is a defensive discipline with an action oriented course of fire that is different every month. It emphasizes safe and efficient handling of semi-automatic rifles and carbines, and combines controlled, common firing line events with select individually fired stages. Targets include swinging steel, plastic reactives, and standard paper. LE shooters may compete with a select fire rifle so long as it is used only on semi-automatic. Other NFA items may be used in the competition by anyone. Remember to travel with the appropriate paperwork.
Considering coming out? Read this if you're new, and not sure if you're ready to come out and shoot.
We are now on Saturdays, and we are adding a precision rifle course of fire to each event. NOTHING WILL CHANGE for practical rifle, or the all day precision rifle matches. If you want to work on precision shooting, bring a precision rifle, ammo, and other gear. Come an hour later so we're all done with the close up stages of practical. You'll shoot at reduced size targets, and non-shooting events will test your fieldcraft, range estimation, and observation skills.
